Design: Creation of Artifacts in Society
Karl T. Ulrich
Combine fundamental concepts with hands-on design challenges to become a better designer.
Dear Designers:
Week 3 was exciting. You were all challenged to explore the landscape of
possibilities in order to identify ten nice design concepts. The work
we've seen so far has been very interesting.
This week we shift from expansive, exploratory design thinking to focus on
the selection of the most promising concepts for further testing and
refinement. I have also included some material on prototyping, which I
hope you find interesting.
Good luck with the next steps in your projects. Week 4 lectures are now available.
Sincerely,
Karl
P.S. Note that Week 5 -- the one beginning Monday, November 19 -- will
have lighter workload because of the Thanksgiving holiday in the U.S.
