Photographs of found vases that were circulating in the Italian underworld with the purpose to sell them through the illegal art world. In Italy, the finder of ancient treasures is legally obliged to hand them over to the Department of National Heritage, in exchange for either a cash reward or tax reduction.
De Appel in collaboration with Witte de Wit present an auction of more than 100 contemporary artworks sold for realisation of future projects.
